
Ali Uslu, Assoc. Prof. PhD.
Dr. Ali Uslu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Veterinary Microbiology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Selcuk University, Türkiye.
He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Fırat University in 2013 and subsequently completed his Ph.D. in Veterinary Microbiology at Selcuk University in 2020. Driven by a keen interest in advancing global veterinary health, he conducted post-doctoral research at Iowa State University, College of Veterinary Medicine (USA) between 2022 and 2023, focusing on advanced veterinary microbiology and preventive medicine.
Dr. Uslu’s primary research interests lie at the intersection of veterinary immunology and infectious diseases. His scientific work focuses heavily on vaccine development—specifically utilizing innovative approaches such as exosome-based vaccines—adjuvant technologies, and the mitigation of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in animal populations. He has actively contributed to various high-impact research projects, including vaccine development for Covid-19, Brucella and Combine E. coli, Rota and Corona virus vaccine for cattle, as well as epidemiological studies on zoonotic and respiratory pathogens. He has participated and contributed with oral communications to numerous national and international conferences and workshops across the world and took part in meetings of 2 different COST Actions: EVIM-NET, ENOVA. He published more than 30 papers in international peer-reviewed journals. Committed to international academic collaboration, Dr. Uslu actively participates in global networks and educational exchange programs, contributing to the advancement of sustainable veterinary solutions.
