Abdelkader Laribi, Prof. Dr. 

Professor Abdelkader Laribi is a soil scientist specializing in digital soil mapping, soil chemistry, and precision agriculture using GIS and remote sensing.

He previously served as Head of the Soil Science Department and currently holds the position of Deputy Director for External Relations and Communication at the National Higher School of Agronomy (ENSA), Algiers.
He coordinates curriculum development and outreach activities within EU funded projects, including CUPAGIS (Erasmus+ CBHE), with a particular focus on integrating geospatial technologies and machine learning into soil and agricultural sciences. His research has contributed to advancing knowledge in soil fertility assessment, trace metal background levels, soil pollution and sustainable land management in Mediterranean and semi arid environments.
His recent research and postgraduate supervision have focused on mapping soil nutrient indices, soil organic carbon and soil salinity in the semi arid regions of Algeria using Landsat and Sentinel satellite imagery. He has participated in several national and international research projects on sustainable agriculture, soil pollution assessment and land degradation with special emphasis on trace metal background levels and environmental monitoring.
Professor Laribi is also a member of the Spanish Society of Agroengineering.
