
Ofélia Anjos, Prof. PhD.
Ofélia Anjos is a coordinate professor with habilitation at the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco (IPCB), where she heads the IPCB hub of the CERNAS research centre.
She holds a PhD in Materials Engineering from IST/UTL and a Habilitation in Agrarian Sciences/Food Technology. Her research focuses on hive products, alcoholic beverages, plant phytochemistry and the development of new food products. She works with advanced analytical methods, particularly chromatography and vibrational spectroscopy (FTIR, NIR and Raman). Dr Anjos has participated in several national and international research projects. She is the author of more than 130 scientific articles and 17 book chapters and has served on 11 editorial committees, including as a book editor. She is recognised as an expert in her field, having given several invited talks and over 300 conference presentations worldwide. She has also served on numerous scientific and organising committees for international events an lider of some international thematic groups.
