
Ilda Caldeira, Researcher PhD.
Ilda Caldeira is Researcher at the National Institute of Agricultural and Veterinary Research, where she works at the Oenology Laboratory in Dois Portos.
Ilda Caldeira completed her PhD in Agro-Industrial Engineering in 2004 at the University of Lisbon – Higher Institute of Agronomy. She also holds a Master’s degree in Viticulture and Oenology (1996) and a Bachelor’s degree in Agro-Industrial Engineering (1989), both from the University of Lisbon – Higher Institute of Agronomy. Since 2013, she has also been an integrated researcher at MED – University of Évora. Her research focuses on oenology, particularly on the study of aromas in spirits and wines. Through knowledge and technology transfer, she has contributed to studies on other distilled beverages, such as arbutus spirits, fruit-based distillates, and honey-based distillates. Additionally, she has collaborated on projects aimed at developing new products, including grape jams and vinegars made from wine distillates .
