
Goran Skatarić,Prof. PhD
Prof. Dr. Goran Skatarić (born on 1967, Podgorica, Montenegro) is Full Professor of economics and agro-economics, specializing in human resource management, project management, marketing, and ecological engineering of water management.
He graduated in land reclamation engineering at the University of Belgrade, earned his master’s in agro-economics at the University of Novi Sad, and completed his PhD in economics related issues on natural resurse management in 2010. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2019 and elected Full Professor in 2024.
Professionally, he served as director of public companies in Montenegro, including Plodovi Crne Gore, and later as Director of the National Park Skadar Lake and Advisor to the General Director of National Parks of Montenegro. He is a court expert, university lecturer at the University of Montenegro, University of Donja Gorica and Adriatic University, all in Montenegro, covering courses in management, rural architecture, and agrarian economics.
Prof. Skatarić is active in scientific research on rural development, natural resource management, and ecological engineering, publishing extensively in national and international journals. He is a member of WASWAC, EGU, IUSS, the Balkan Environmental Association, and since 2024 a member of the Academy of Engineering of Montenegro. He has organized and chaired major conferences such as the International GEA Conference and Green Room Sessions, fostering international cooperation in sustainable development, agriculture, water, and environmental protection.
