
Associate Professor Aslı Özkök
Associate Professor Aslı Özkök was born in Ankara in 1978. She completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Ankara
She graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Science, Department of Biology in 2000 with the “İhsan Doğramacı Outstanding Achievement Award” as the first student of the Deparment and as the first student of the Faculty with the “Student Achievement Award”. She served as a Research Assistant between 2000-2009 in the same department. She completed his master’s degree in 2003 and doctorate in 2009. She went to Brisbane-Australia for 5 months with the Overseas Integrated Doctorate Program Scholarship she gained from TUBITAK in 2007 and she did some of her doctoral studies at Queensland University. She worked at the National Food Reference Laboratory of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry between 2009-2015. She took part in the accreditation of the laboratory as a Quality Department Responsible in this laboratory and also established the “Detection of Pollen in Honey and Quality and Origin Determination” analysis in the Contribution, Adulteration, Origin Department. She received the title of Associate Professor in 2012 and returned back to work at Hacettepe University-Bee and Bee Products Application and Research Center in 2015. She has 45 International, 20 National publications, 6 book chapters and numerous national and international congresses with invited speakers, oral and poster presentations. To date, TUBITAK, TAGEM, BAP etc. she took part in 12 projects and worked as an executive in 2 of them. In 2018, she has served as the editor of the book “Rapidly Growing Sector in Turkey: An Overview of the Bee Products” that was published with the support of Hacettepe University. She is working as an assistant editor at Hacettepe Journal of Biology and Chemistry, which was scanned in TR Directory. She was also the congress chairman and chairman of the organizing committee of the 4th, 5th and 6th International Congress on Environmental Research and Technology (ICERAT) congresses. In addition, she is the editor of the International Journal of Environmental Research and Technology (IJERAT), published by Anatolia Science Academy. She still continues her studies on palynology and bee products at Hacettepe University.
