
Z.Dilistan Shipman, Assoc. Prof. PhD.
Assoc.Prof.Dr.Z.Dilistan Shipman graduated from İstanbul University Economy and completed her MBA and PhD on marketing at Yeditepe University – thesis on wine.
She got the Kitchen Management certificate from England. She is currently working at BAU-Bahçeşehir University as the Dean of School of Applied Sciences. She had given Turkish Cuisine and Culture courses at Aachen Volkhochschule in Germany. She is also a columnist on food management and culture in various magazines and newspapers. First Gastronomy Department was established for the first time in 2003 in Turkey and she is one of the founders. She wrote many books among which is “Bread is a Passion”- 5th edition- and “Little Dishes Big Pleasures” which won the Gourmand Award in 2008. She has been teaching Bread making, Art and Food, Food &Beverage Management and Marketing, Oenology, Tea Science, Restaurant Management, Financial Accounting, Consumer Behaviour in the Sector and Food History.
